1)From July 25th 2023 the Tuesday Level 2 class will run from 7:30-9:00PM as a 10-week block: July 25th-September 26th  (Cost: $180 or $24/class if attending less then the 10 classes)

2)From August 2023, The Saturday Level 1 11:15AM class will start from 11AM


Regular face-to-face and ZOOM classes run on 4 class per calendar month basis. There will be NO regular classes on the 29th, 30th and 31st of the month. Please note that classes WILL run on public holidays.

All students need to bring their own mat and yoga belt to classes.

Props may be purchased from  www.iyogaprops.com.au  

Level 1

Beginners in Iyengar Yoga.

Level 2

Must have attended regular classes recently in Iyengar Yoga with a certified Iyengar Yoga teacher. Must be confident and comfortable practising Sarvangasana (Shoulderstand) and have an understanding of how to work with any significant joint problems (e.g. knee or back). If unsure, please email to ask (enquiries@hobartiyengar.com).

Open Practice

Open to any currently enrolled student.

Private Class

One to one tuition, by prior appointment.


Enrolment Application

To apply, complete the Yoga Application Form   and email to: enquiries@hobartiyengar.com

Once received, you will be notified if your application has been successful, and you will be asked to pay the class fees within three working days. Payments can be made by direct deposit.


Class Information


From adolescence onwards.


Classes are generally structured on a basis of 4 week calendar month enrolment – however casual attendance at a casual rate may be possible with prior permission.

What to wear and bring

All students will need to bring their own mat and yoga belt. Props may be purchased from  www.iyogaprops.com.au  

Yoga should be practised on an empty stomach.
Comfortable clothing which permits a wide range of movement should be worn (eg. T-shirts with tights or shorts).



Monthly Class Fees (from March 2023)
Fees are calculated on a four classes per month basis. Where students book into less than the 4 classes, each studio class costs $24. Zoom classes are $15/session.

Level 1 and 2 studio classes $72
 ZOOM (mixed level) classes $60
